Revitalised leisure hub for the St.Helens community

Green Circle was appointed in June 2018 by St Helens Council to manage and operate the loss-making Sherdley Park Course. Since taking over responsibility for the course we have instructed international golf architects IDG to bring forward a scheme to remodel the course, as well as delivering a comprehensive package of investments to the course including reconstructed greens on the 6th, 9th, 11th and 18th holes, and further irrigation and drainage improvements to ensure all year-round playability. In October 2018, we submitted plans for a £1million refurbishment of the existing clubhouse with new changing facilities and cafe bar which re-opened on the 4th of May this 2019, less than 12 months after Green Circle took over management of the course from the Council.
